Every fall quarter during the month of September, NAU staff host several “Mav Mania” events. The purpose of these events is to provide a way for all of our new students to get acquainted with each other, current students, and the professors and staff they will get to know very well while attending NAU. The last few years have been exciting and a few of the events are recurring. Fall is, of course, Volleyball season and NAU hosts a tailgate party for the first home game. Great food and prizes are given away before the game and during the game. NAU has a champion caliber volleyball team who love to show off their skills.
Another annual event has been a presentation by Monster.com. A representative from Monster.com presents an energetic and interactive presentation about the choices you make during college that can turn your potential into success and help you reach your goals during and after your time here at NAU. Learn how you can take “The Ultimate Road Trip” at NAU to make the most of your college experience! Last fall we added a Poker Run that runs throughout the Mav Mania events. At each event you pick a card and whoever has the best poker hand at the end of all the events wins the grand prize. Some other events may include: a Karaoke night, an outdoor movie, and possibly a casino night and/or new events we haven’t tried yet. This a fun time for all NAU students and staff and we look forward to the events this fall.
