About Us
In 1941, the National School of Business was established by Clarence Jacobson. It was founded as a one-year secretarial school. In 1960, NSB moved to its present location at 321 Kansas City Street. Over the years, National School of Business added a library and built two wings onto the Residence Hall. In 1970, National College of Business received collegiate accreditation as a senior college.
The college grew more, adding the Roosevelt building and a special building for the Veterinary Technician program. Soccer, Volleyball, Rodeo and Basketball were offered as sports programs. The men's Basketball team won back to back NLCAA Championships in 1987 and 1988, the Women’s Basketball team won the NLCAA Championship in 1992 and the Women’s Volleyball team became NAIA National Champions in 2002.
The National School of Business became known as National American University in 1997. In the last few years, NAU has added a Master’s of Business program and updated our Athletic Training facility by moving it into the Roosevelt building with new equipment and classrooms.
Many of the programs offered an NAU are now accredited by their corresponding associations, including the veterinary technician program, the athletic training program, the paralegal studies program and the business division.
